McLaren Artura At The Heart Of Real-Life Clue Murder Mystery Game

McLaren has launched a unique relationship with gaming and entertainment firm Hasbro, that will see the Artura hybrid supercar engaged in a fascinating murder case in the Clue universe. Starting March 2, fans of the much-loved board game may engage in a month-long murder mystery on Instagram, where they'll be pushed to investigate the murder of Boddy Black, a rich businessman and the owner of a beautiful McLaren Artura.

The Ferrari is touted as Black's most valued possession, and we first sight the orange-painted beauty parked outside of Black's menacing Tudor mansion.

Fans must tune into the @officialclue Instagram account for their daily clues, including witness statements, suspect testimonies, new evidence, and first-person stories of the mysterious murder.
In the second week of the investigation, sleuths will have to head over to @mclarennorthamerica where they will unearth a piece of evidence involving the victim's Artura. Whether this is a critical piece of evidence remains to be seen, but it could be the key to identifying Black's murderer.

Fans of Clue will be happy to see all their favorite characters back. The gorgeous Miss Scarlett, Professor Plum, and the four other dinner guests all have a motive for murder. As you'll see in the video above, the villainous Boddy Black cut his acquaintances out of a profitable business agreement, angering everyone sat around the table.

It's undoubtedly a peculiar combination - far from the oddest we have seen - but sure is a novel approach of promoting the brand. Fans of the Clue franchise will remember the Artura for its involvement in this intriguing social media series.
Perhaps the purpose behind Black's murder had to do with his British supercar. Envy is a nasty trait, but it's impossible not to get envious when talking about the Artura. As McLaren's first series-production hybrid, the 3.0-liter V6 engine is linked with an e-flux electric motor to deliver combined outputs of 671 horsepower and 531 lb-ft of torque.

This provides the Artura an incredible turn of speed; 0-60 mph is despatched in three seconds, but the top speed is limited to 205 mph.

It's quite the looker as well. In fact, some would argue the styling is to die for. Was it the case for old Boddy Black? Keep tuned to the official Clue and McLaren North American Instagram feeds to discover out.
